I am a electrical contractor, and i am looking for a software that does the following..
-for each individual job shows how much money i made or loss
-off course it shows how much money i made so far through out the year
-it keep track of my expenses so i can throw out all those receipts from materials…
-it shows me how much tax i owe so far …(best if it shows per job)
and basics. write check.. makes payroll..
right now i have microsoft office accounting 2009.. i dont know if this software meets this criteria.. can anybody throw some names out there.. also i am looking for the most inexpensive software , but good .

I’m in the process of starting my own company. It’s only going to be a handful of people to begin with and the rest on contract when needed. The question I have is how do I handle the payroll for my employees and freelancers?
I would be getting the contracts directly from clients and then have to pay my people accordingly. This means until I get payed I cannot pay them.
How do I calculate their taxes and how much I can afford to pay everyone if all I know is how much the client will pay?
I’ve never done anything like this before. Is there any book you’d recommend or some kind of software I can use to help me figure all this out?

Small Business payroll?
I am working in a small office where total employees are 400 to700.
As I am a webmaster and in same office
My Manager told me to make payroll system.
Payroll will cover the following:
1.Each user will login with username and password, Access will be strictly denied the username and password is incorrect.
2.User will select Year, and month
3.If he have not filled his form, he will fill his form
4.If he has filled the form, he is able to have a printout of the form.
5.If there is a mistake, user can change it and make print again.
6.After filling the form, HR (Human resources Department) will Okay the form, once the form is okayed by HR, user cannot edit any field, anymore.
So, is there anyone who can tell me that:
•There is software for design such pay rolls and I should by it.
•There is online tutorial, and I should follow.
•Any other option.
